Phing pear install nor working

Description

When trying to install phing on freeBSD6.2 PHP 5.2.5 Pear version 1.7.1 I get the following error: # pear install phing/phing

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 772 bytes in PEAR/REST/10.php on line 276 SECURITY ERROR: package in channel "pear.phing.info" retrieved another channel's name for download! ("pear.php.net") Cannot initialize ' channel://pear.phing.info/phing', invalid or missing package file Package " channel://pear.phing.info/phing" is not valid install failed
